Audience Comments from Naked Communist Terrorist Hippies from Outer Space. June, 2003

" One of the most enjoyable aspects of "Naked Communist Terrorist Hippies " is that it dealt with contemporary issues with honesty, (unlike the mainstream media), and at the same time amused me. "
Anne McCallister, radio producer

" John Howard should be forced to watch his hilarious impersonator in the side splitting rendition of 'I did it My Way'."
Isobel MacDonald, primary teacher

"I laughed so much I fell off the chair"
George Despard, builders labourer

WTO : The Musical
March 3, 2003 : Down the road from The Princess Theatre, down a few side streets and alleys of convention, W.T.O The Musical recently burst onto the stage at the Melbourne Trades Hall.

The latest offering from the provocative Keep Left Theatre – specialists in immediate, and socially conscious performance - W.T.O The Musical was characteristically button pushing.

Cast members performed a series of interlocking sketches, each dedicated to looking inside themselves, at the world, and giving the monsters an airing.

Brimming with acerbic social commentary, the work was often funny, and always brazen. Combining visual gags, snappy banter, monologues and one impassioned rendition of ‘I Honestly Love You’, the piece was well received by an appreciative crowd.

The players should be commended for the vigilance of their efforts and expression, in a time where difference is an increasingly volatile state of being.

W.T.O The Musical – looking out for Australia.
